Mr. Anurag Agarwal took over the reins of the business and rose to the challenges of this nascent industry by creating a bigger and better research and development facility, a state of the manufacturing unit and an established presence in 30 plus countries.

In 2000, as a natural extension, the company introduced the herbal range of products for human healthcare.

Founder

Mr. R.K. Agarwal started his career in his early teens. His passion for understanding the benefits of herbs for animals and humans resulted in Natural Remedies.

An attitude of “never give up” and remain positive in all circumstances has helped him to steer his life and the organization to greater success. A nature lover, he believes nature has provided everything that a human needs to live happily. Living life based on the principles of nature and being useful to everyone is his mantra of living a joyful and fulfilling life. At the age of 84, his energy and enthusiasm is an inspiration to the entire organization. Simplicity and humbleness are his traits that are admired by one and all. As an office-bearer of various important associations, Mr. R K Agarwal has been a visionary and a spokesperson for the herbal industry.

Anurag Agarwal

Managing Director

Successfully managing Natural Remedies, taking over the reins of the family business, he has been an ace strategist, building major brands both in India and in emerging markets.

An all-rounder with skills across sales, marketing, brand management, alliances, and acquisitions, is also credited in successfully creating a leadership pipeline. In the past five years of leading Natural Remedies, he has ensured the company grows and evolves into one of India’s leading healthcare companies not only in India but, the world over. Anurag believes in the adage, “Collaboration and Winning Together” will lead Natural Remedies to greater success. Emphasizing on “Harnessing Nature and Applying Science for Health and Happiness,” the bedrock on which Natural Remedies has been built, he is a voracious reader and mentors many inside the organization and outside too. Being Human is far more important in the journey called life and he treats everyone with respect be it his employees, customers, or his partners.

Dr. Amit Agarwal

Director

Dr. Amit Agarwal has served as the Head of R&D for more than 20 years. He now serves as the Director and advises the company on various regulatory aspects.

He obtained his master’s degree in Pharmacology from University of Strathclyde, UK and holds a Ph.D in Pharmacology. He has published about 110 research papers, in various peer reviewed, national & international journals. Over and above these, he has 94 abstracts in various proceedings and has contributed to 15 books so far. He has 14 patents granted to his credit till date. He is a member of the Herbal Products and Crude Drugs Committee of the Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission, DBT task force on medicinal plants, member of Project Screening Committee of National Medicinal Plants Board, member of the expert panel of United States Pharmacopoeia and serves in many Government departments as a resource person.

Ayush Agarwal

Ayush holds a Bachelors’ degree from Christ College, Bengaluru, and MBA from the Cardiff University. A young and dynamic person, Ayush brings in new ideas and innovations.

He is a natural entrepreneur, a business leader, and a strategic thinker. Since 2017, Ayush has been instrumental in successfully developing the new pet division at NRPL where he holds the position of Business Head of the Pet Division.

Dr. K.N Reddy

Dr. K. N. Reddy is a visionary leader who redefined the concept of “organic growth,” propelling the company to global prominence.

His unwavering vision and passion revolutionized the use of Feed Phytogenics in the animal industry, introducing the groundbreaking concept of adaptogens and demonstrating how phytogenics can simultaneously prevent diseases and enhance health. A strong believer in “Service Leadership,” Dr. Reddy is fondly known as the “Most Lovable Person” at Natural Remedies. As CEO, he oversees all facets of the commercial business, including the Marketing & Innovation team of the animal health division, driving transformative success. His guiding principle, “Ordinary people with Extraordinary efforts produce Outstanding results,” has inspired and nurtured over 100 leaders across various departments at NRPL. Dr. K.N. Reddy holds a science degree from Kakatiya University and further honed his expertise at IIM Ahmedabad and the Indian School of Business (ISB). Recognized for his contributions, he was awarded an honorary doctorate in Poultry Science by European International University in 2024. An inspirational role model, Dr. K.N. Reddy is deeply committed to fostering values and unlocking the potential in every individual. His exemplary leadership has earned him numerous accolades, including the prestigious “Great Manager Award” from Economic Times & People Business Group and the Executive Award from NRS Publications at the CEOs Forum in 2016. In 2024, he was also honoured with the Strategic Leadership Award by the National Feather Awards in association with The Economic Times.

Baskar leads the talent strategy unit to achieve the business objectives. He brings in over 27 years of experience in the people and culture domain.

He has expertise in international work culture and change management strategies too. He leads the people transformation initiatives and the ‘Great Place to Work’ Culture. He was instrumental in bringing technology driven cross functional collaborations and trust based listening culture in the organization. He is an alumnus of XLRI and was recognized as one of the Top 100 HR super achievers award by Business India and World HRD Congress.

Prashanth D souza

AVP – Animal Health R&D

Prashanth D’Souza is a senior scientist and head of animal health R&D. He has over 31 years of experience in botanical products and their application for fostering animal health & productivity.

He was the lead researcher who developed India’s first wound healing herbal spray - Topicure. Instrumental in setting up various labs like microbiology, bioassays, cellular assays and animal health science lab at Natural Remedies Pvt. Ltd, he has over 50 research publications and a book chapter to his credit. He is a visiting professor at the Department of Veterinary Medical Sciences, University of Bologna, Italy, and a member of the American Association for Advancement of Science (AAAS).

Deepak Mundkinajeddu, PhD

Deepak utilizes his education and experience in chemistry and bioactivity of natural products in leading the human health function and its R&D programs.

His key areas of interests around botanicals include quality and standardization, identification of bioactive constituents, clinical validations, and regulatory aspects. He has played an important role in developing clinically tested standardized ingredients from Indian medicinal plants. His team’s phytochemical reference standards are now being used globally by industry, research laboratories, and academic institutes.
